Aleksander Slobodchuk
Secretary General of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus
Aleksander Slobodchuk is a Secretary General of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus since 2015. In 1983 he graduated from Belarusian State University majoring in journalism and in 2009 from the Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus majoring in international relations. Formerly he held the position of the adviser of Consular and Legal department of the Consular Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. Since 2001 Mr Slobodchuk was working as an adviser in the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Latvia. In 2007 — 2011, Mr. Slobodchuk worked as the deputy Minister of Information of the Republic of Belarus. He was awarded the state decorations — the Medal For Irreproachable Services (Third degree) and the Medal For Merit for Labor. Secretary General is a member of the Republican Public Association "Belarusian Union of Journalists."
